GayFL is a radio show and podcast hosted by Brendan and Chris that showcases the game we love from a uniquely queer perspective. GayFL celebrates AFL and AFLW news, culture, events and social media and off-field antics and mixes our deep and serious love for the game with fun, topical and sometimes irreverent commentary. There will be interviews, match highlights, season and ladder discussion, news and current events and more, all mixed in with a pro-inclusion message for the whole LGBTQIA+ community.     S2E2: Kyneton Women’s Football Club

    On this week’s GayFL, we’re joined by a club making history — not just on the field, but off it too — the Kyneton Women’s Football Club, nicknamed the Wedge-Tailed Eagles. Born in late 2024 after more than 30 players and staff took a stand against inequity, disrespect and unsafe conditions, this group didn’t just walk away — they built something better. A club grounded in safety, respect, inclusion and community. A space where women and gender-diverse players can show up, compete hard and play on their terms — with dignity and pride. Despite strong opposition, the Wedge-Tailed Eagles have stayed focused on one clear goal: fair access, equal footing and a future.
