Customer Reviews
Refreshingly Good!
I love that Chris spotlights different businesses who are doing good in the world. It’s not only about how they’ve grown their brand, but how they’ve done so in an intentional way. Highly recommend
Fascinating people and journeys.
Let me start by saying that I love this podcast.
The easy-to-listen, relaxed style that Chris Edwards has makes it so appealing and a pleasure to listen to.
From the first episode, it seemed like the people in the podcast were old friends, and didn’t even seem aware that a microphone was listening to everything they said.
I had not heard of Nikoi Island, a private island off the coast of Indonesia, but Aussie entrepreneur Andrew Dixon, found it, bought it and turned it into a barefoot luxury, sustainable holiday get away. Now, normally this type of place would have me worried about the mosquitoes, humidity and drinking water but it’s very clear that Andrew seems to have found a way to have a sustainable holiday resort without all the plastic and environmental damage. His stories are making me desperate to go, and I’m particularly inspired by the fact that during the Covid pandemic, when they were closed, his staff collected 300 tons of plastic from the ocean. His idea of an ambassador in the lowest level of each department is brilliant, and he truly understands his staff and how to motivate people.
Hearing good business tips from someone like this, who also fully paid for his staff during the entire pandemic, is inspiring and a refreshing change in from people in business, who are only about the money.
The second podcast with Vikas Garg and his journey to launch and build the website and community abillion had me hooked and I have actually picked up a few business ideas from him that I think I’m going to roll with. Thanks Vikas!
The third podcast featured Christine Amour-Levar, who I was not familiar with, however, after listening to her story, I will definitely be forwarding this podcast on to some of my friends in the Philippines and some that work for Nike and others that love, hiking and climbing. Her story was fascinating and she is undeniably a very inspiring woman.
And now? Well, now I’m hoping that there are a lot more podcasts! Chris has a great voice and accent for podcasts and I’m looking forward to more.
