    Every emotion is valid. Emotions inform us about what's important to you.
    Emotions want to be seen, heard and felt, not stuffed down in your gut.

Life Changing

This podcast (coupled with yoga, meditation, mindfulness and Michelle’s Happy Inside app) has completely changed my body, mind and life. I am so grateful to her for sharing her wisdom.

I have struggled with IBS most of my life. I had severe gastro at about age 6, but I remember a particular random, severe gut pain incident at about age 12. Then occasional symptoms as a teenager, and throughout my 20s my gut was an uncontrollable, unpredictable rollercoaster. I had allergy tests, endoscopy, of course all was clear and I was left with nothing but frustration. I could never commit to complete food elimination diets, already becoming vegetarian in my early 20s was more than enough diet restriction for me, and I could find no consistent reaction to foods. Somehow my dysfunctional gut managed to tell me food wasn’t my problem...

In the past few years with some major life stressors, my gut became a source of complete misery. In the evenings I would be so bloated that I would be in tears to my partner...so fed up, so tired and desperately wanting my body to be normal.

Always googling for new advice, I finally stumbled across Happy Inside and I have not looked back. I have also incorporated reading related books (like The Mindbody Prescription - Sarno) osteopath visits, a couple of acupuncture visits, and (as I mentioned) yoga and regular meditation. But the thing that gives me clear, encouraging, practical guidance and real changes in my thinking has been this podcast.

One particularly amazing revelation was how emotional I became listening to Michelle describe ‘coming home to your body’. I encourage anyone struggling with their gut or any chronic pain to listen to all of the episodes, and consider the Happy Inside app too. I am so grateful, Michelle, thank you.

Great listening

I find listening to Michelle so calming. I've had her app for sometime now and have only recently began listening to her podcasts. Her conversational manner and caring suggestions are so heartfelt. You can imagine sitting with a cuppa chatting with her as a trusted friend. Love these podcasts and am starting to listen to them all over again. Thanks Michelle.

Thank you so much Michelle! I’ve listened to all of the Podcasts now and even just listening to them have helped me so much.

I’ve also started working with the app and it’s quite amazing how much of difference it’s made.

Thank you so much for highlighting this issue- of the huge connection between my anxiety and gut symptoms.

I’ve always felt that it has played a role in my IBS-D but I’ve never put so much weight on it - “Surely my anxiety couldn’t affect my gut THAT much! It must be mainly food”....I now have the confidence (and belief in my own body trying to tell me for so long!!) to say that yes, my anxiety is the main cause of my IBS. And also feeling like that I’m FINALLY getting somewhere with it.
