    The Academic Freedom Closet with Cory Clark

    The Dorx experience a proliferation of Cories as behavioral scientist Cory Clark shares fascinating observations about victimhood strategies, punishment, tribes, norms, taboos, hyper-cautious conformity, the ambition of academics, scrutiny of unpopular papers, self-censorship, socially costly beliefs, tenure, reputational threats, and socially desirable empirical conclusions that turn out not to be true. Nina signals her victim status as a canceled artist while morally judging cowards; Cori (Cohn) notes how errors in academia spread through society; and Cory (Clark) confesses she is a confessor to many a guilty and frightened professor.     Speaking of depression, Cori admits his but Nina sounds so cynically resigned maybe she’s depressed too. After discussing feline euphoria, free speech, hate speech, terrible presidential candidates, and men’s clothing, Cori reveals his misadventures trying to get medical care from endocrinologists who prioritize “gender identity” over human health. Nina brags about her postmenopausal testosterone-producing cojones and insists women are more than “estrogen containers”.     Richard Hanania Hates His Audience

    Political commentator and contrarian (but don’t call him that) Richard Hanania talks about his transition from callow supporter of Barack Obama through the fringes of Internet reactionary libertarianism and back to good old fashioned American conservatism, only to find that such a thing hardly exists any more. He tells us that Trump is bad, the Covid vaccine is good, and either extreme is prone to be wrong. Maybe the middle isn't all that bad? Hanania steps on a copyright landmine, makes cartoon quips, and advocates for cultural changes that would be recognizable to grey-heads like Nina and Corinna who grew up in the 70s and 80s. Is he sincere, or is this a ploy to outrage his audience and expand his social media reach? You decide.     The Honorable Justice Elspeth B Cypher (Retired) left her appointment on the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts to become the most-interviewed yet least-heard Heterodorx guest. Cypher discusses the Biden administrations attempts to replace sex with gender in Title IX, and the efforts of 20+ states and Moms for Liberty to push back. We also cover women in Afghanistan, the Chevron Doctrine, federal money held over foster care, Tickle vs. Giggle, Tennessee vs Cardona, stays, staying stays, appeals, districts, the MA Supreme Court-to-TERF pipeline, faith in the judicial system, why pi does not equal 3 in Indiana, making unpopular decisions as a judge, retroactively transing Ruth “Theyder” Ginsburg, biological height, masculinity, fighting oppression with more oppression, flexibility vs functionality of law, hijacking compassion, and boobs.
