How to Decorate

Firstly, I absolutely love this podcast! The 3 hosts seem very down to earth, don’t take themselves too seriously and at first I wasn’t a fan of the trials and triumphs segment as thought it was too much chit chat....but then after listening to a few I found myself actually laughing out loud at some of the hilarious stories they tell and really appreciating it as a light hearted moment in a world that can be a bit too serious at times. Some of the guests have been incredible....just a few highlights include Bunny Williams, Vern Yip, Matthew Quinn, and Maria Killam! The only reason I’ve taken one star off is that some of the guests have come across as rather pretentious eg. Meg Bragg and Nancy Braithwaite (but I know this is absolutely out of the control of the hosts!), while other guests have engaged in a lot of chit chat while revealing very little insight - eg. “the bedding expert” - during those episodes I just wish the hosts would push a little harder with their questions.

Just finished listening to the Carson Kressley episode after eking it out over a couple of days this week, I was truly living his holidays vicariously and wanted it to just keep going - can we hear what he does for NYE as well? 😂

I understand that part of this podcast is selling a lifestyle in which Ballard Designs is a perfect choice for furniture and design, but I was so turned off by the incredibly entitled discussion on holidays in the recent podcast that I turned it off and unsubscribed. The people in "the middle of Georgia," used as an example of where not to take your private plane (even if it was theoretical), might not be buying Ballard Designs, but you don't have to mock their location in comparison to your very real recent trips to Africa, Argentina, India, France and Italy. Such entitlement. I'm disgusted.
