I like the idea of the Brülosophy Podcast but it drives me kinda crazy. These guys talk so much and say so little, it takes forever to get to the point. I find it really difficult to maintain focus. There is often a needle of good information, but it’s obscured by the haystack of repetition. Marshall says something, asks the guest/co-presenter for their view, which will usually be the same but they’ll go into detail anyway, then Marshall will often repeat his view and say how he agrees with all the points his colleague just made, in detail, then they’ll talk about the topic again, conversationally and saying all the same things again. Then they talk around the point again for a while. This all takes about all but 10 minutes of the podcast, then they discuss an experiment which was conducted to test one of the concepts they’ve been covering for the previous 50 minutes out however long it is. The intro to the experiment will cover all the stuff we’ve just been hearing about 5 times over.
Then we hear about the results of the experiment, which about 80% of the time conclude that people generally can’t pick the difference.
I still kinda like it but I wish they could be a bit more concise.
