I started listening to LCP back in 2018 when my disillusionment towards MTG was at its peak. I can honestly say this podcast single handedly revived my love for the EDH format.
The LCP consistently offers up original and insightful content including excellent deck building advice, original deck lists as well as thought provoking analysis of play group dynamics and the metagame of EDH.
What I enjoy most about this pod is the hosts themselves. Kyle and Andy are honest, funny (not in a contrived way), and they seem like real human beings rather than soulless content creators. For anyone who has engaged with any of the more popular EDH content creators (you know who I’m talking about) the LCP will be a massive relief from the norm of relentless hype, a lack of critical thought and unquestioning enthusiasm for WOTC and the direction EDH has gone over the past 2 years.
The icing on top of the solid content and entertaining hosts is the high quality production, music, and editing. IMO these guys set a very high standard for indie podcasts.
I hope these guys are around for a long time.
Peace.
