Now that I find myself turning 40 in 2022…having watched this show and listened to the podcast the last 5-6 years … you guys have been apart of my world for half my life.. my two favourite sports writers

Have loved PTI for years - straight sports, no BS !!

What a shame the regular undertones of liberalism have now become a main tenet of the show. It’s bad enough that Tony’s podcast is an all-star line up of left leaning guests and panel members (Cillizza’s TDS is certifiable), we get that and it comes with the territory, but once one wades through that the content is ok, however, PTI has swerved so hard to the left and become a political echo chamber with a focus on non sport related content aimed at garnering the virtue signalling spotlight. Such a shame too because when it comes to SPORTS, these guys have got the background, the history, the knowledge and the access. Yet who are we to judge? Perhaps this approach is what’s needed today to ensure one’s place in the annuls of sports and broadcasting history when being cancelled is only a slip pf the tongue, a ‘I misspoke’ away? Or is it necessary to avoid the ever offended, faceless cancel culture crew, waiting to destroy careers and lives in one anonymous swipe? I guess all good things have to come to an end. It’s as if the podcast is being held in Hamlet’s hands...Alas, poor PTI, I knew it, a show of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy.
