As a parent, do you ever wish someone could just whisper some realistic and trustworthy support in your ear? And not make you feel awful for not having all the answers? Well, that’s what I’m here for. I'm Dr. Aliza Pressman, developmental psychologist, parent educator, asst. clinical professor, and co-founder of both Mount Sinai Parenting Center and SeedlingsGroup. And I'm a mom... trying to raise two good humans myself, so I'm in this with you! In each episode, we'll go deep (but brief) with both experts and parents to share the most effective approaches and tools and talk about the important bigger picture of raising good humans. My goal is to make your parenting journey less overwhelming and a lot more joyful! Please join me every Friday for new episodes of Raising Good Humans.

Review by a dad

Yes guys listen and really enjoy and are really informed by your content. It took me a while to figure out how to rate your show because I haven’t for ages, if ever, rated a show, but if doing so helps get your content out to more people it’s worth it. I did so while listening to the raising boys episode. Having not had a father of my own since the age of 2 I am always critical and doubtful of my own abilities, but, as I tell my patients in my Family Medicine Practice when they ask if I think they are good parents or not, the fact that you ask that question means that you are, no matter how harshly you judge yourself. So I guess I should accept my own advice. I have often struggled with the concept of raising my boys into strong but sensitive men. I initially thought the concept of having a female guest to talk about raising boys was ironic (the Australian use of ironic) but that was soon swept aside by the thoughtful conversation that ensued. I guess traditionally the mum (mom) does the emotional modelling and spends more time with the kids but I would like to put out the call to dads to take on more responsibility in this area. We men often think our role in parenting begins with making bank and ends with putting out the trash and can’t understand why we end up divorced or cuckolded or with sons who act in ways in which it is hard to feel proud of them. It’s time for men to be role models and to become experts in parenting, not just providing. Our sons and society as a whole need it now more than ever. So thanks for inspiring me and providing practical advice about how to Raise Good Humans. I have recommended your show and book so many times I’ve lost count.
Asking to not write negative reviews
17 July
The ratings/reviews are here to help people understand whether the podcast is good. Asking to only send negative feedback in person defeats the whole purpose and is a major red flag. The podcast is a bit average too, very general if not questionable advise & loooooots of adds.

Each time I listen I learn something new and I feel encouraged as a parent. I feel educated and equipped to be a better parent to grow with my child and noting how to better validate and include my children.
