A fun, factual and interesting revisit of the classic "In Search Of ..." TV series. The hosts are well informed and researched and present a great summary of each episode, together with commentary on the facts behind the stories as presented. Audio footnotes are included and make a great addition to the threads. Blake Smith's "Monster Talk" is also highly recommended.

Jeb and Scott are superbly informed. Never seen as episode of ‘In search Search of’ but they’re always able a LOT of helpful context around each episode. Including the often strange careers of its talking heads. Their editorial makes a show that honestly sounds a bit dry at times a fascinating time capsule of the seventies- covering ideas that have totally dropped off the map (the coming ice age) and others that have gone on to have disconcerting broad influence. (The very FORMAT of modern. paranormal television and videos.) All this and I haven’t even mentioned the strangeness of having Leonard Nimoy preside over all this… Also Jeb’s written a excellent book called ‘Spooky Archeology’ about the history of fringe ideas in archeology and the study of ancient history. For a surprisingly long time individuals with ideas like: ‘the Mayan ruins are Atlantis’ wielded real influence in the field even if their ideas were not accepted.
It’s very good

“I can’t think of many things more 1970’s than people wearing a bee beard”. Might be one of the funniest lines I’ve heard in a podcast.
