Chris DeMakes A Podcast

Honestly the best thing I stumbled upon when looking for some Mark Hoppus podcasts months ago. The relationship Chris has with so many artists from his peak touring days creates such great content to listen too - it’s not some inexperienced wannabe asking basic qu, the deep dives and tangents are what make the podcast epic. You learn so much about the different ways songs are created and the production process, but also gain insight into the deep intelligence these creatives have.

Has become one of my favourite podcast. Chris is such a good interviewer and clearly very knowledgeable and makes the breakdowns fascinating to listen to.

Listening to Chris nerd out about songs, breaking them down and sharing experiences and knowledge with his fellow artists is fantastic. These songs are genre and band defining, with the existing relationship he has with his guests adding to the overall experience. Give it a crack, it’s worth a listen

Chris interviews musicians about a big song in their career, and discusses how the song first came to be, the recording process, how crowds react to it, and what the writers think about the song itself. years after making it. Every episode is full of interesting stories, with a different band member. I am a big LTJ fan so I loved hearing the tales behind Science, and Boring Town. I hope Chris can interview Four Year Strong, since they did a tour together in recent years.
