What was sold as fun holidays turned into nightmares of systematic abuse by staff. Hundreds of women have since come forward with harrowing accounts. In 2025, former teacher Patricia Robertson was convicted of abusing 18 girls, yet survivors continue fighting for full inclusion in Scotland’s Redress Scheme, a public apology, and real accountability. Kellie and Kelly share their arrival as children, the daily horrors, the lifelong trauma, and the mysteries that linger: missing personal records, the bizarre 1998 council sale of the derelict property for the strangely patterned £111,222 to private buyer Ian Gray (who never occupied or renovated it), and allegations linking deceased MP Sir Nicholas Fairbairn to visits and abuse.
