Sean lives in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, with his wife and 2 boys. In this episode we talk a lot about supporting our families to find and pursue their passions and how many benefits are realized for the whole family as a result. Sean's career spans over three decades, beginning as a volunteer in a local charity in Eswatini. He has worked through major conflict and refugee crises of the 1990s, moving on to headquarters roles in Ottawa and then Europe. Sean spent 22 years in London, specializing in system-influencing initiatives, including work with the UN, academia, consulting, and creating and leading the Start Network for nine years. His leadership helped grow the Start Network from 15 UK NGOs to 42 members across 15 countries, securing over $200 million for humanitarian crisis work in more than 50 countries. After the pandemic, Sean and his family moved to Vancouver, Canada, where he now serves as Head of External Affairs at Arca, a company dedicated to removing excess carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
