Rachel Allan has been coaching since 2012, with 121 team and relationship systems coaching qualifications. She is a member of the International Coaches Federation, and recognised as a PCC, Professional Certified Coach and Coactive leadership graduate. To date, she has more than 1200 hours of coaching. Her yoga journey started in her early 20’s with Iyengar, developing a practice to keep her centre through day-to-day life. Whilst at the height of her first career, in a global philanthropy role for an international bank, she practised early morning Bikram to stop a racing mind, which created a perfect doorway: highlighting the urgent need to stop. She trained with Sivananda, Vipassana and Elemental yoga therapy. This called for a career pivot and, personally, a journey towards cultivating spirit, back towards the body more fully. Adding many more trainings, including Women’s health and yoga with Uma Dinsmore Tully and Bex Tyrer, and Swara Yoga, working with silence and meditation as a daily practice. Her work spans leadership transformation and personal development, drawing from her expertise in social impact transformation journeys across the global north and south. Her background in peacemaking, somatic intelligence, movement and human potential makes her approach to leadership from the inside out, uniquely body aware and deeply insightful. She started weaving yogic practices “undercover” with clients and now sees it as a necessity to stay centred and navigate the external world. Her group and 1-2-1 Body Wisdom programme combines the science behind how asana, breathwork, yoga nidra and visualisation directly change the chemistry and physiology of the body. It calls “heady” clients back to an embodied centre, intuition and a renewed level of self-trust. Rach is also the host of the 40 for Tea podcast, a global storytelling series exploring human potential, conversations of connection, self-discovery and transformation over a good cup of tea through 40 conversations with inspiring, courageous individuals around the world. She delves into life, questions personal growth and meaningful dialogue. She is known for her warm and engaging style, and deep curiosity, making each conversation and exploration of both individual stories and universal themes. The podcast, which she started on the day of the first UK lockdown, evolved into a quest and lifeline to foster real connections in a time when the world felt increasingly contracted. She followed her intuition every step of the way, quest to return to a woman’s way, asking what is it to be human in this new decade? You can find Rach on A Grateful Life, my podcast, talking about the power of intuition as an embodied intelligence. Connect with Rach at https://rachallan.com/.
