Juicebox Podcast: Type 1 Diabetes

Scott (& Jenny, Erica, and all his guests) provide a perspective on managing diabetes that has a simplicity and empathy that is, quite frankly, life changing. I ‘should’ be good at this, I have a PhD in chemistry, yet it wasn’t until I found this podcast that I finally ‘got it’ and gained the confidence to be “bold with insulin”. They talk to you in a way that doctors don’t have the time or practical experience to communicate. My primary care physician (GP) recently rang me jumping up and down because she was so excited about my 5.2 HbA1C. That’s how good this podcast is.

As a newly diagnosed type 1 the information provided (especially in Bold Beginnings) has been invaluable to me. It’s made everything less scary and given me a lot to think about. Thank you.

This podcast has given me so much knowledge to understand, manage and be a pro for caring for my son who was recently diagnosed with Type 1. Scott breaks down his years of understanding and experience managing type 1 in a way that I have clear understanding of the why, when and what of everything that comes with dealing with T1. I wanted more than the basic survival Information that was given to us on diagnosis and Scott has taken my knowledge and understanding from limited how to survive to confidently managing my sons health and succeeding.
