I love this podcast series. Listening to Jessica is like listening to your own private French tutor. Jessica selects interesting topics to discuss in each podcast and explains the content in a readily accessible form. I love all the grammar and vocabulary - her explanations have helped me with understanding my own language - English, as well. Plus, Jessica has such clear diction - listening to her helps me with my comprehension and pronunciation as well.
I studied French at school over 50 years ago, and after visiting France a few times in the past 10 years with my husband, we decided to live in France for 12 months - which we did in 2019. While there, I earnestly tried to increase my French - studied every day using a number of different programs, and I did OK. Now I am back in Australia, I do not want to lose what I have learned - I want to add to my French and these podcasts are perfect. I listen to Jessica on my walks each morning, and then on afternoons when I can sit down with a pen and paper and make some notes about new information, and complete her free worksheets.
I have had a number of ‘light bulb’ moments - one in particular I am very grateful to have learnt from Jessica is about une bouteille d’eau, un verre d’eau etc. I could not understand why I did not need the article before. But I do now.
So much more to learn. And, I look forward to spending more time with Jessica.
