    (79) Why Therapy Is Essential to Healing After Trauma

Starting therapy can feel terrifying, especially when you are breaking free from trauma. That fear often comes from the voices of abusers who do not want you to change, rather than from your own truth. Therapy is where silence is broken, survival patterns are untangled, and the nervous system begins to heal. It is where we reclaim our story, rebuild trust, and stop the cycles that have been passed down for generations. In this episode of Infinity Within, I share why therapy is essential to healing. We will explore how therapy gives us back compassion, accountability, and a roadmap forward so that we can move beyond survival and step fully into living. I also open up about my own journey... how terrifying it felt to confront the thought of therapy, and how many times fear tried to convince me to stay in silence. I share the moment I realized that the voice telling me not to go wasn’t mine at all, but the echo of abusers who benefited from my silence. Walking into therapy was not just an act of courage, it was an act of defiance against everything that once tried to break me. Therapy has given me more than coping tools. It has given me a sacred space to grieve, to rebuild, and to remember who I truly am underneath all the survival patterns. It has brought me self-respect, clarity, and the kind of inner strength that only grows when you are willing to face your truth. This is why I treasure this journey, it is not just about healing my past, it is about creating a new legacy for the future. If you are ready to understand how therapy transforms not only your life but also the legacy you leave behind, this conversation will guide you toward your next step in healing.
