Iran could face the sudden return of UN sanctions as early as this weekend after the UK, France, and Germany triggered a 30-day deadline tied to the 2015 nuclear deal.
The so-called 'snapback' process means sanctions lifted under that deal will automatically return if Iran is judged to have broken the rules.
European leaders say Tehran still has only hours left to let inspectors in and resume talks to avoid the measures.
