    S5-EP19 Demolition Machine with Melissa

    This week we welcome back our good friend and music festival world traveler, Melissa (@METALCHATPOD) We get caught up with Melissas latest journey to Greece with Fearghal which included some good ol fashioned road stories and a lot of music and beer. We chat about a lot of social media mutuals along with future travel plans and bands and festivals and beer and wine and all kind of shenanigans. The first round of the Priest Family Madness tournament concludes with two albums that are at opposite ends of most Priest fans album rankings with Killing Machine Vs. Demolition. The end of the first round also brings us to the end of season five.     This week we welcome Jonas onto the Priestcast. Jonas is way too smart to be on a podcast with Jay. Luckily Jeff was able to have an intelligent conversation with our brilliant guest. Jonas tells us about how his metal journey started. Yes-it involves an older brother and No-it does not involve Kiss! We discuss a ton of bands and genres including Post Metal which Jay had never heard of. Jonas lets us in on how metal inspired his carer path and what roll metal played in his view of the world and in parenting. A fantastic discussion that left us wanting more.     This week we welcome in our favorite smart ass and fellow Kiss hater, Gavin O'Connor. Gav is a Twitter legend with his controversial and witty takes on music and politics and life in general. We hear Gav's music and Priest story along with a chat about Northern Irelands music scene. Of course a lot of music is discussed that Jay knows nothing about and Jeff could teach a class on. Our Priest Family Madness tournament is both timely and historic with Judas Priest OG Al Atkins record Victim of Changes Vs. birthday boy British Steel. Both Al and British Steel played important rolls in the history of metal. Speaking of history,the Spinner year was the historic year of 1975. Wow!     This week we welcome back a Priestcast OG, Hattie. We get caught up with Hattie and see what she's been up to. We get sidetracked though and end up chatting about the culinary delicacy of 2 stroke oil and we debate whether coffee is too liquidy. Hattie has a fascination and obsession with Boston and also tells us we need a sound board. One of us apparently frequently says weird things and one of us has ruined all of his plain white T's with salsa stains. Of course a lot of music is discussed as well. The Priest Family Madness Tournament rolls on with Halford's Resurrection Vs Judas Priest Nostradamus. Will Jay's love for Nostradamus or Jeff's dislike of it take it over Resurrection? Of course we give oral book reports on those three records as well as discuss a bunch of other bands and some upcoming tours.     S5-EP12 Ram It Deadly with Sam and Charlie

    This week we get caught up with our good friend and first ever guest on the podcast, Sam. Sam is always a great and thoughtful conversation because he is about the smartest person we know. We sit around and talk about everything and anything from country music to local soda pop and everything in between. Of course we talk alot of metal and even review the new Megadeth. The Priest Family Madness tournament rolls on with an interesting matchup between two largely forgotten albums, Priest's Ram It Down Vs. Fight Small Deadly Space. I think Vegas had this as a pickum going in. The reloaded Spinner spat out 1976. Jay was in a Rush to discuss his choice while Jeff is not the biggest 70s fan but hit a home run with his pick.
