I was a huge fan of dance academy and love supporting aussie creators, so I was so excited to follow these two on a journey... but the level of ignorance and privilege - and ignorance OF privilege, in each episode is quite sad. Their guests are usually great and are usually the ones to add any substance to the show (aside from the guy promoting conversations to chatgpt??), Alicia is pretty good at asking the questions the listeners would actually want to know, but it's crazy to me to speak to the majority of struggling, hardworking peple who may not be able to afford groceries with "Depressed?? Go book a trip to a Thailand! Buy this product! Just installed a sauna and trust me guys you need this" Like... class consciousness is lacking, and I only kept listening to a few episodes grabbing on the the few straws of relatability and understanding that i felt Alicia could somewhat give, before their complete disconnect from reality just overwhelmed me. (Also Dena's been spreading zionist rhetoric recently, probably thinking it's equal to judaism itself... and it's just tiring to hear people i used to admire completely ignoring reality.)
