The Mutually Beneficial Associate/Owner Chiropractor Relationship with LIsa Goodman, DC

The Mutually Beneficial Associate/Owner Chiropractor Relationship with LIsa Goodman, DC

The tug-of-war battle between Associate and Practice Owner is well documented, but it doesn’t have to be that way. There are many strategies and best practices to have a mutually beneficial experience for both the associate and the practice owner, and that is what we discuss in this week’s podcast episode.

In this episode, I interview Dr. Lisa Goodman, who recently published her book The Manual for the Chiropractic Entrepreneur.

“Are you a Chiropractor, or are you an entrepreneur who happens to be a Chiropractor?” Strategic Coach found that Dan Sullivan likes to ask doctors this question, and it always makes me think. Part of being an entrepreneur is leading and leveling up your team, and associates are no different.

Dr. Lisa Goodman believes that chiropractic is the best profession in the world. Certified in sports, prenatal, and pediatric chiropractic, as well as Titleist Performance Institute certified, Dr. Goodman founded Washington Park Chiropractic in 2006. She has a degree in marketing and communications and spent four years in brand advertising before graduating as valedictorian of her chiropractic college, Palmer West. She is known as an international speaker, author, teacher, mentor, and clinician in and out of the office at worldwide events.

“THE MANUAL for the Chiropractic Entrepreneur,” published by Parker University, is Dr. Goodman’s first published book. It serves as a comprehensive guide for both established and aspiring chiropractic entrepreneurs and offers strategies for launching and growing a successful practice.

Ethically Offering Add-On Services to Your Practice with David Rudnick, DC

Ethically Offering Add-On Services to Your Practice with David Rudnick, DC

The more I discuss with colleagues and experts how to provide the patient with great care and how to avoid the commoditization trap that insurance companies have doctors firmly trapped in, the more the idea of add-on services keeps revealing itself as a great option.

Whether you are in-network with insurance or are a cash practice, some services are not covered by insurance or should be charged at a separate cash rate from your traditional chiropractic care.

Some of those add-on services include but are not limited to, Shock Wave Therapy, Dry Needling, Laser Therapy, Physical Training, Supplementation, and more.

In this episode, I interview Dr. David Rudnick about how he provides world-class care in his sports chiropractic clinic and has escaped insurance companies' commoditization trap.

The good news is that you don’t have to be a hard-sell clinic. You can provide add-on services without pressuring your patients into spending money they don’t want to.

    Modernizing Your Chiropractic Practice

    Modernizing Your Chiropractic Practice

Is your chiropractic practice fully modernized?

When modernizing your practice, yes, you can renovate the office, get new equipment, and go from paper to electronic health records, but you also need to modernize your marketing, communication, and business technologies.

Prospective and current patients expect a modern experience when engaging with your practice in your community. You may be falling behind your competition because they are implementing strategies to take a big slice of the market share.

Let MCM audit, build, and implement a tailored modernization plan for your practice to help you compete in your competitive community.

We focus on 3 fundamental aspects of the modern healthcare practice.
    *Communicating with your Community
    *Communicating with your Patients
    *Communicating with your Team

Modernizing your Community, Patient, and Team Communication takes a complete approach that focuses on the Front Stage and Back Stage of your practice.

Front Stage/Back Stage ModelⓇ (Developed by Strategic Coach)

“You can gain enormous clarity about your business by looking at it from the perspective of The Front Stage/Back Stage Model®. This draws a parallel between the theater and the experience you create for your clients in your business. As we watch a live performance, we are captivated by the performances, the lighting, the sound, and the atmosphere. You want your business, like the theater, to create a positive, memorable, and unique experience in which your customers and prospects see the “magic” of the Front Stage without seeing the Back Stage logistics.

Everything you do on your Front Stage creates value for your clients, and everything Back Stage has a direct link to your Front Stage. The Back Stage is about creating better and better support systems, based on Unique Ability®, that expand the impact of the Front Stage. Everything that occurs Back Stage is determined, measured, and judged by how well it contributes to the results achieved on the Front Stage.”

    The MCM Modernization Process

    Step 1: Comprehensive Practice Audit
    Step 2: Detailed Modernization Strategy
    Step 3: Modernization Onboarding
    Step 4: Strategic Implementation

    Parker Vegas Salon Dinner

    Parker Vegas Salon Dinner

In Late February, Jay Greenstein and I hosted a Salon Dinner at Parker Vegas for a hand-selected party of 8.

    What is a Salon Dinner?
“In the 17th and 18th centuries, salons became popular venues for philosophical, political, and other moderated conversations. Women were the center of salon life. They selected the topic, invited guests and directed the conversation throughout the event. While these events were social, there was always a theme of education and idea sharing. Today, salons are having a revival moment. In our digital age, we have unlimited access to information and various feeds of opinions to consume. Modern day salons are bridging the gap between information sharing and face-to-face interactions. Bringing meaningful discussion topics to the dinner table or happy hour has created an avenue for people to share thoughts and solve problems in a social environment.” - Cameron Cler

We chose the topic of the disconnect between private practice owners and DCs looking for great jobs. We dove into the struggle to afford great teams and to find great jobs. We kept the conversation on track and had a great time working through ideas to help start the dialogue of improvement.

In this episode, I discuss some of the takeaways from the Salon Dinner and other professional aspects.
