In *Music Zettel*, I share ideas and resources for teaching and learning music from my lectures at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, from my own practice as a composer-producer-educator-academic, and from my free online course "The Place of Music in 21st Century Education". Warning - I'm a classically-trained composer, but I passionately believe our model for music education is exclusive, irrelevant, and broken. I advocate for a pluralist approach to music education for ALL children/humans, and welcome you to the discussion around those ideas.

Wonderful
I am loving the episodes as I drive myself to my music teaching job every day. Lots of inspiration to start the morning.
brilliant
a must-listen for every music teacher and teacher-to-be.
Something outside of my box!
Nice one James Humberstone! This really piqued my interest. I have reasonably musical kids but have not thought critically about how and what they are learning in their school music lessons and their respective strings lessons. I can’t wait for the next episode.
