Effects on kids
What a great podcast! The loss of a beloved dog and their unconditional love can cause deep internal grief. It can manifest in all sorts of ways. Often overlooked is the impact on children and their learning and development after the loss of their best friend. Thoroughly enjoyed this podcast and highly recommend to others!
Charlie. And thank you.
My best friend, Charlie, died last night suddenly with a stroke. She was the cheekiest miniature dachshund you’d ever meet - that’s saying a lot, I know, but if you met her you’d agree. She was only 8 and a half. I found Not Just a Dog while waiting for the train after seeing my psychologist and holding Charlie’s favourite toy in my hand. Thank you for this. I needed this.
My psychologist shared that Charlie’s love is worth all of my grief and every tear I shed. I’ve already gone through a box and a half of tissues- she’s worth all of this pain.
