Diverse array of scholars and well structured
Easily my go-to podcast when trying to engage with a more academic approach with the bible. The diverse array of scholars (and theologians) on the podcast is well done. The co-hosts clearly do their research and ask questions in a mindful and stimulating way (special qudos to Matt & Matt who always balance though-provoking questions with good pastoral questions).
I recommend this podcast event to my friends who don’t know much about the bible, as there are many scholars interviewed who have done interesting work in the field that deserves to be heard. This podcast is very very good at balancing critical interpretation with orthodox ones, or simply encouraging pragmatic thinking.
My only improvement is that because there are so many knowledgeable cohosts, there definitely needs to be much more q&a episodes released!!
Best biblical studies + theology podcast
OnScript is fast becoming my go-to podcast. It boasts great interviewers and a diverse range of interviewees, across lots of disciplines. Always interesting, scholarly and suitably light hearted when necessary.
Always an interesting listen
Some of the theology in the episodes is a bit liberal for my taste, but generally great episodes.
