Talking about sex | Episode 2

Talking about sex | Episode 2

Do you talk to your LGBTI+ patients about sex? When you take a sexual history, is it gender-inclusive? Many medical schools teach students to ask the question, “Do you have sex with men, women, or both?” during a sexual history. We look at how that might not be the best place to start...

Dr Rhys chats with Clinton Morgan, clinic nurse at the Queensland Council for LGBTI+ Health, about how to take a better sexual history.

In this episode, we'll answer these questions:
    - Why should we take a sexual history from our LGBTI+ patients?
    - How do you invite people to talk about sex?
    - How do you ask for details like sexuality & types of sex in an inclusive way?
    - What about toys?
