A podcast for women who want to create an income and a life they love through renovating and property.
109- Michelle's Crack House Reno
In this episode, I have one of my favourite guests, Michelle Lewis who is a pocket rocket renovator. She will share with us how she purchased her latest property, how she turned it from an ugly duckling to a beautiful swan and many more! We will also talk about the biggest value of having a Joint Venture and the importance of having a community when you are renovating for profit.
108- Comfort Kills Dreams And What To Do About It
We all strive for a comfortable life but in reality it silently kills motivation, creativity and eventually your dreams. In this episode, I explore its impact and map out a plan for overcoming the effects of being locked in your comfort zone to live a life of great joy, prosperity and fulfillment.
107- Why Renovators Should Be Aware Of Mould
In this episode, I invited Andrew Savage as my special guest to discuss and share his knowledge about mould. This topic is not quite pleasant to everyone but it's very important to renovators.
Andrew is a Business Development Manager for Architecture and Design in New South Wales and he will share how mould grow in the houses and buildings, why it exist and how to address it.
106- The Big 2020 Pivot & What To Expect In 2021
The Big 2020 Pivot & What To Expect In 2021
In this episode, I am going to talk about a little reflection on 2020 because this year put us all to an extreme roller coaster ride. Some were greatly devastated but I took it as advantage to ponder and think more.
I will share how The School Of Renovating innovated amidst the pandemic, what steps I undertook to sustain my business and even make it better, and what we are putting together for our renovators this coming 2021.
105- Serial Renovator : Charmaine Smith
In this episode, I have a very fascinating guest, Charmaine Smith. She's a fashion designer, a licensed real estate agent for high end properties, and a serial renovator.
Charmaine and I are chalk and cheese when in comes to delivering our reno projects but, our renovating aspects are so aligned that I had to invite her to share her story of being a hands on renovator. Also, she will share her top tips to the women out there who want to venture on renovating for profit.
104- 10 Ways To Make Your Renovating Easier And More Profitable
In this episode, I will share some tips on how to make your renovating easier while making more money out of it. For me, knowing the basic in renovating and some trades' skills are good but learning how you do your own projects with back ups and knowing what strings to pull when needed to are even better

Thanks Bernadette, James Burgin
If only ...
Hi Bernadette. I just want to say how much I enjoy your pod cast and have now listened to every one, often binge listening while doing other less interesting things. A couple of years back we helped our daughter renovate a stuck in the 60s Bondi unit and omg we learnt the hard way. Everything from concrete cancer to the dreaded side draining toilet . If only I had listened to your pod cast before then. Anyway she is ready to sell and move into the next renovators delight so thanks to you we will be so much more prepared. Keep up the great work . You’re generous spirit is much appreciated.
Regards Lorraine Bradwell
My Guilty Pleasure..
Just dropping by to show my support for your podcast Bernadette.
I look forward to each episode and I am never disappointed with the content.
It’s such a generous offering and compared to many of the other property podcasts I subscribe to, yours is the clear winner.
Perfectly suited to people embarking on a new renovator journey but equally suited to more experienced folk like myself - there’s something for everyone.
Keep up the great work.
Your honesty is so refreshing!
I look forward to future learning and hearing more student success stories.
(And yes... a bloke) 😉
