Uplifting

Joel sounds like one of those people who is relentlessly positive- and that is why I truly enjoy this podcast. Sometimes it is easy to get into a downward spiral of thinking about your life and others in only one way, but Joel’s enthusiastic and intentional delivery always cheers me up and gets me thinking about things in new and different ways.

Thank you Joel for sharing your thoughts and conversations. I have come away from your podcasts on many occasions with new ways of looking at myself and the world around me, and I definitely feel better for it.

Helping With the Basics

As someone who's just started working on making his life more about his own talents, I'm glad to listen to this podcast that focuses on the basics of living. Joel is a very enthusiastic host who gets the most out of his guests, both in terms of information and personality, and no matter whom he speaks with, I always get plenty of advice and encouragement. Smart and Simple Matters is more about people than businesses, and I'm glad to be a subscriber to it!

Spreadsheet Dude with plenty to give

Joel's engaging and dry wit make this podcast an enjoyable listen. He's into simplifying and sharing his tips to get you thinking about ways to improve your life. His guests are varied, but I like it best when its "just Joel." His passion and knowledge of the subject matter makes you want to delve deeper down all the rabbit holes his show notes provide.
