So Dramatic! with Megan Pustetto

I used to really enjoy listening to this podcast in fact started back on day one! But now it’s increasingly hard to get any decent story as most of it is behind a paywall. I get it’s probably due to the fear of being sued or cancelled but it’s just not what it was known for. Megan does a lot of research and knows her stuff but I just can’t pay to hear gossip!

I recently subscribed here to listen to one clickbait episode that didn’t deliver (to say the least) - aka just a re-reading of a salacious reddit thread without any evidence or journalistic moral whatsoever? What is this? Legit confused why people are wasting their money & time on “subscriber” episodes that are predominantly about why the host isn’t delivering 🙃

I listen to predominately true crime, but Megan’s research , what she stands for, her intelligence is refreshing and easy to listen too! Love what you do babe! You are the the GOAT.

The reporting has potential, genuinely. It has a lot of detail, but the repeated use of “more confirmation of my fake news” detracts from credibility. The phrase centre’s personal validation over evidence and reinforces confirmation bias, making the podcast feel more like a victory lap than serious journalism. I paid for the subscription but the EXTRA episodes contains heavy use of filler language; especially the word “like”, that it became too distracting. Ultimately I had to cancel my subscription as it became too difficult to listen to. .
