    Hypnosis And The Fertility Brain

Send us a text What do driving on autopilot, crying during a movie, and the fertility journey have in common?  More than you might think. This episode unpacks the real science (and surprising power) behind hypnosis, and why it’s one of my go-to tools in supporting fertility, emotional well-being, and nervous system regulation. If you’ve ever thought hypnosis sounded a little woo-woo, or if you’ve been secretly afraid it involves clucking like a chicken... let’s clear that up. Because not only is hypnosis incredibly practical, it’s also one of the most research-backed ways to shift the way you think, feel, and show up on your fertility journey. In this episode, I explore: What hypnosis actually is (and why you’ve probably already done it today)Why infertility puts your brain into hypervigilance, and how hypnosis can helpThe link between nervous system regulation and reproductive healthHow unconscious beliefs like “my body is broken” shape your emotions, behaviours, and outcomesThe difference between meditation and hypnosisWhat really happens during a fertility hypnosis session (hint: you’re not handing over control)A real client story of shifting from fear to safe hope, and what changed after thatYou’ll walk away with: A clearer understanding of how your nervous system and unconscious mind impact fertilityPractical insight into how hypnosis rewires old beliefs and creates new emotional patternsPermission to stop “doing everything right” and start feeling more like yourself againA fresh perspective on how calm, trust, and inner safety support the whole picture of conceptionPS. Your Future Baby Doesn’t Want You to Be Perfect

Send us a text If you’ve ever felt like you’re walking a tightrope, trying to be the calmest, healthiest, most emotionally regulated version of yourself just to deserve a baby, this episode is for you. In this one, I’m speaking directly to the part of you that’s exhausted from trying to get it “right.” The version of you who’s given up wine, tracked everything like a military operation, smiled politely at advice you didn’t ask for, and still wonders if you're doing enough. I want you to know this: You were never meant to be perfect. You were meant to be whole. Here’s what I cover: Why the pressure to be perfect can disconnect you from your body, your joy, and even your future babyThe moment I stopped treating my journey like a science project and started living againHow one client let go of her endless fertility checklist and found freedom, sleep, laughter, and, eventually, a babyThe belief that finally helped me grieve, rebuild, and reconnect with myself after eight years of TTCWhat your baby actually needs from you (hint: it’s not completely clean eating or 6am yoga)This episode isn’t about doing less. It’s about doing differently. It’s about making space for the full, messy, emotional, human version of you, the one who laughs at memes, skips meditation sometimes, eats the burger, cries at night, and keeps showing up anyway. You don’t need to be perfect to be ready. You just need to be real. PS. When The Two Week Wait Becomes a Two Year Spiral

Send us a text The two-week wait is never just two weeks. If you’ve ever found yourself obsessing over symptoms, Googling "early pregnancy signs" at 3am, or spiralling into self-doubt before your test day… this episode is for you. In this powerful, no-fluff episode, I get real about one of the most emotionally intense parts of trying to conceive, the infamous 2WW. But here’s the thing: when you’re going through it cycle after cycle, year after year, it’s not just a wait, it becomes a psychological marathon. You’ll hear: Why the two-week wait messes with your mind (and nervous system)The difference between hope and hypervigilanceWhat to do when you feel like a different person every luteal phaseHow to anchor yourself in connection instead of controlTools for protecting your mental health, even when the stakes feel impossibly highI also share a deeply honest story from my own IVF journey, including the moment I was convinced it hadn’t worked… only to be proven completely wrong. What You’ll Learn: Why symptom spotting is addictive (and misleading)How rituals — not rigid rules — can calm your nervous systemA mindset shift that will help you stop living for the result and start living through the waitHow to create a two-week wait mental health plan instead of a fertility checklistThe difference between “controlling everything” and actually feeling safe in your bodyWhether you're on your first two-week wait or your fiftieth, this episode is here to say: You’re not crazy. You’re not alone. And you don’t have to white-knuckle your way through this part of the journey. PS. Ever found yourself spiralling because of a single Google search or convinced that your entire cycle was ruined by one glass of wine? Yep. You’re not alone, you’re just stuck in the mental storm that infertility creates. In this bold and honest episode, I’m naming the thing most people tiptoe around: infertility can mess with your head in ways no one prepares you for.  From overthinking every symptom to blaming yourself for things completely out of your control, this journey can become all-consuming. But there are ways to reclaim your sanity, without pretending everything is fine or "just thinking positive." Inside this episode, we explore:  Why infertility creates the perfect storm for mental spiralling How your brain tries (and fails) to protect you with overanalysis The difference between mindset issues and nervous system overload Practical, body-based tools to stop the thought spirals How to shift from anxious obsessing to grounded clarityThis is not another “just relax” pep talk.  It’s a real conversation about what it feels like when your brain becomes your biggest battleground, and what you can do about it. Sex, Stress and Ovulation Pressure

Send us a text Trying to conceive can make sex feel like a job, and no one tells you what that does to your relationship. In this honest, unfiltered episode, I’m talking about one of the most overlooked parts of the fertility journey:  The emotional toll of timed sex, ovulation pressure, and how intimacy gets tangled up in stress, grief, and expectations. If you’ve ever felt like your partner gets to stay relaxed while you’re tracking 17 data points and crying in the pantry, you’re not alone.  If you’ve ever felt resentment, guilt, frustration, or like you’re using each other in the name of trying to conceive, this episode is here to help you feel seen and supported. Inside, I unpack: Why sex often stops feeling like connection and starts feeling like pressureWhat really happens when emotional safety leaves the bedroomWhat I’ve heard from clients about resentment, shutdowns, and lonelinessHow stress about “getting it right” sabotages more than just the moodWhat you can do to soften the tension and reconnect with your body and each otherA gentle reminder from me: You are not broken because sex feels hard. You’re human. You’re under a lot of pressure. And you’re allowed to want a reset. PS. The Weird Ways We Try to Earn Our Baby

Send us a text If you’ve ever caught yourself thinking, “Maybe if I just do everything right, I’ll finally get pregnant”… this one’s for you. In today’s episode, we’re diving into one of the most common but rarely named patterns in the fertility world:  👉 Treating conception like a cosmic performance review. Whether it's cutting out dairy, forcing yourself to meditate, tracking every bowel movement, or beating yourself up over that third cup of tea, we start to believe that if we sacrifice enough, restrict enough, and do this “perfectly”… then we’ll finally deserve our baby. But here’s the truth: You don’t have to earn your baby. And trying to do so is exhausting, demoralising, and completely counterproductive to both your mental health and your fertility. In this episode, I breaks down: Why so many women fall into the “if I’m good enough, I’ll get pregnant” mindsetHow spiritual and self-help culture can subtly shame women in this spaceWhy this pattern is more about fear and trauma than disciplineThe difference between doing your best and punishing yourself3 powerful mindset shifts that help you feel safe, grounded, and real againYou’ll also hear personal stories from my own fertility journey (including “the no friends diet” and secret negotiations with the universe), plus what it actually means to support your nervous system when you’re no longer willing to live like a monk on a mountaintop. 💬 Mic-drop reminder: You are not a project. You are not being tested. And your baby isn’t waiting for you to get it perfect, they’re waiting for you to come home to yourself. PS. Reclaiming Joy (Without Giving Up Hope)

Send us a text What if joy isn’t a distraction from your fertility journey — but a missing piece of it? When you’re trying to conceive and nothing’s working, joy can feel like the first thing to go. You stop saying yes to plans. You put off holidays, hair dye, cocktails, fun. You tell yourself you’ll relax after the positive test. But what if waiting to enjoy your life is what’s keeping you stuck in survival mode? In this powerful and liberating episode, I gives you full permission to reclaim joy, without guilt and without giving up. I dive into:  ✨ Why joy often feels like a betrayal when you're TTC, and why it’s not  ✨ How infertility turns life into a constant “pause” button and how to press play again  ✨ The nervous system science behind joy and hormone regulation  ✨ 3 practical ways to reconnect with joy today (even when life feels heavy)  ✨ How to build joy into your fertility strategy without fear it will sabotage your hope Whether you've forgotten what fun feels like, or you’re scared that happiness might send the wrong message to the universe, this episode will lovingly dismantle those beliefs. 💬 Truth bomb from the episode: There’s no prize for being the most miserable woman trying to conceive. Joy is not indulgent. Joy is intelligent. Joy is part of your healing. PS. The Comparison Trap In Fertility

Send us a text Why does someone else’s pregnancy announcement make you want to cry… and then feel guilty for crying?  You're not alone and you’re definitely not broken. In this honest, intimate episode, I shine a light on the comparison spiral that hits so many women during infertility, the kind no one talks about because it feels shameful, petty, or too much. From Instagram baby bumps to WhatsApp announcements to chance supermarket run-ins, the emotional triggers can feel relentless, especially when you're navigating fertility struggles, grief, and hope all at once. You’ll learn: 🔹 Why infertility comparison is a nervous system response, not a personal failure 🔹 How grief disguises itself as jealousy or irritation (and what to do about it) 🔹 Why protecting your peace doesn’t make you a bad friend — it makes you wise 🔹 How to stop spiralling and start anchoring into your own path 🔹 A powerful reframe that transforms comparison into clarity and compassion I also share a raw story about my own journey, including what people didn’t see when I announced my pregnancy after 10 years of trying, and why no one’s story is ever as simple as it looks from the outside. Whether you’ve found yourself hating a friend’s baby shower, rage-tapping out of another fertility forum, or quietly wondering “What’s wrong with me?”  - this episode will help you breathe again. 💬 Reminder: You are not a bad person for struggling with comparison. You are a human being in pain, and you deserve space for that truth too. PS.
