  1. Referrals built my business. Here's how I keep them coming

Referrals built my business. Here's how I keep them coming

Referrals have been the secret ingredient in my business for years, and they're one of the easiest ways to get new clients. If you've ever wondered how some businesses always seem to have a steady stream of new clients whilst others are left scrambling, it's rarely about having the flashiest website or biggest ad spend—the real magic happens through word-of-mouth. According to Nielsen, 92% of consumers trust recommendations from friends and family more than any other advertising method. In this episode, I share how I keep referrals flowing year after year by building real relationships rather than just collecting business cards. You'll discover why consistency is everything when it comes to being referable, the importance of going the extra mile with handwritten thank-you notes and follow-up calls, and why you shouldn't be shy about actually asking for referrals when you've done great work. I break down my complete 8-step referrals strategy that I've refined over the years, covering everything from identifying your key referrers and setting up tracking systems to creating personalised touchpoint plans and building a community of advocates. This isn't about hoping referrals happen by accident—it's about creating an intentional, systematic approach to nurturing the relationships that will make your business flourish! Multiple Streams of Income: Designing a Stable Business

Stability is underrated. And if your income relies on one offer (or one good month), it’s no wonder your business can feel fragile. In this episode, I’m breaking down how I’ve built multiple streams of income to create a stable business model. We’ll talk about why relying on a single offer is risky, how I structure my core offers, and what I recommend if you want to create multiple income streams without ending up with constant overwhelm. I also share how I think about multiple streams of income beyond the business, including building wealth through property, shares, and ETFs, and why I never wanted my personal financial security tied only to my ability to show up and work. If you’ve ever thought, “I don’t have spare cash to invest,” I cover the exact mindset and system shift that helped me: Profit First, separating accounts for operating expenses, tax, and profit, and why starting small can be the beginning of real financial stability. You’ll leave with practical next steps to build a more stable business income, create a buffer, and start designing a business that supports your life — calm, confident, and sustainable. 3. Sharing Domestic Responsibilities as a Couple: The Missing Piece for Working Women

Sharing Domestic Responsibilities as a Couple: The Missing Piece for Working Women

Business is unpredictable by nature, but what happens at home can either steady you or slowly drain you. I had a moment at a dinner table recently where I realised something that’s become true for me: when my relationship is solid, I can handle whatever my business throws at me, because stability at home is an anchor. We talk about why women who thrive in business often have one of two things: real support at home, or the ability to block out tension. And blocking out tension isn’t free, it costs energy, focus, and confidence. I share a client example of a high-earning business that was still being treated like a “hobby” at home, and how everything shifted once expectations, boundaries, and the business's role in the family were made clear. Domestic imbalance is still a thing, and it’s exhausting. The mental load, the school admin, the appointments, the birthdays, the groceries, the logistics, the caring for everyone, while also being expected to contribute financially like a CEO. Equality doesn’t happen by hoping, and why the uncomfortable conversations at home are often the ones that unlock more capacity in business. You’ll also get practical ways to start rebalancing without burning your life down: clarify what your business contributes, make the invisible mental load visible, renegotiate one area at a time, and let other people own tasks without micromanaging the process. I also mention a tool that can help couples divide responsibilities more fairly: Fair Play Cards. Because you shouldn’t have to choose between business success and a home life that works. 4. Choosing Your Rhythm: Living Without Obligation

Choosing Your Rhythm: Living Without Obligation

Obligation doesn’t usually kick the door down; it slips in quietly and starts rearranging your life. This episode unpacks how tiny social rules and unspoken expectations can slowly take over your calendar, your energy, and the way you run your business, without you even noticing. You’ll hear my “polite ghosting” story and why leaving a party doesn’t need to be a full production just because other people want one more drink, one more story, one more moment. It’s not about being rude; it’s about protecting your rhythm and refusing to negotiate your peace for someone else’s comfort. We talk about resentment as useful data, not a personality flaw. If you’ve been feeling snappy, heavy, or secretly dreading things you “should” be fine with, this is a sign your boundaries are being crossed. You’ll learn how to do an obligation audit, spot what you defaulted into, and start making cleaner choices without over-explaining yourself. Obligation in business is expensive, from underpricing to scope creep to unpaid “quick questions” that drain your creativity. Expect pushback when you stop being convenient, but remember this: you’re not here to be endlessly available, you’re here to live true to your energy and your life’s work. If this hits a nerve, this is exactly the work we do inside Revenue Raiser (doors open until February 25th). I'm Done Sugarcoating It - Here's Why Talented Women Stay Stuck

If you’re feeling stuck in your business, it’s probably not because you lack talent or brains. It’s those sneaky little excuses that quietly take the wheel and steer you off course. Sometimes you’re avoiding the hard things and expecting results. It’s not about lacking intelligence or drive it’s the small excuses, burnout, and comfort zones that quietly hold us back. I’ll break down why businesswomen stay stuck by looking at the boring, repetitive actions that actually move the needle, like consistent follow-ups, tracking numbers, and sticking to your message, even when it feels tedious. You’ll hear why running your business on empty isn’t a badge of honour, and why your health is a non-negotiable foundation for long-term success. I talk about the importance of getting out of your bubble after COVID, and why real growth happens when you show up in person and connect with others. If you’re tired of feeling stuck, dodging the boring work, or letting the wrong people influence your headspace, this is your call to get honest and make a change. Tough love, real talk, and practical tips to help you stop wondering why businesswomen stay stuck and start thriving. The truth is, you already have what it takes, now it’s time to get out of your own way and put it to work. Recurring Revenue Took Me Out of Survival Mode

You know that month where you’ve delivered the work, the invoices are out, the client is thrilled and suddenly… silence? You check your bank account. It’s not panic. But it’s close. That, my friend, is the feast and famine cycle and it’s exhausting, financially and mentally. In this episode, we’re talking recurring revenue in a real-life way, not a “make money while you sleep” way, because predictable income is what takes you out of survival mode and puts you back in the driver’s seat. We’ll break down what recurring revenue actually is, why it changes how you lead and why it gives you more headspace than you expect. I’ll share what shifted for me when I moved from one-off work into a membership model, plus a client example that shows how recurring revenue can be built with way less chaos than constant launching. We’ll also talk about the part people skip: you can’t just make something “monthly” and hope it works. Recurring revenue comes from ongoing value, clear deliverables and a rhythm that supports both you and your clients. And if you want to scale it, we’ll touch on why selling to organisations can be a game changer, and how recurring revenue lets you plan, invest and lead like a CEO instead of patching holes every month.
