AI Crafted Beer - because AI wasn't sexy enough.
"Techs with Flex is back with a vengeance after a time of gathering a 42 media team and getting our pod (and Tiktok) on in 2023! First victims for the year had to be someone in AI right? I mean if 2023 doesn't get rebranded as ".....'23PT......" then, well, it's because their humour isn't as twisted as ours......regardless, this year will be remembered as the year that AI exploded and ChatGPT became a household name. But, if you are like the team behind Deep Liquid and the Australian Institute for Machine Learning, AI is a 'thang you have been working with for at least 5 years, far longer than your average punter, or brewer for that matter.
So for Denham D'Silva and Dr Jamie Sherrah, our guests for this episode, the "sex" appeal of AI wasn't as sexy as it is for the rest of us, and that's why the obvious next step was to add beer into the mix....brew. I present thee - Deep Liquid, who in 2021, created a beer using Machine Learning that was trained with over 200,000 recipes and input from the brewing experts at Barossa Valley Brewing. Skip forward 2 years, beer lovers can now engage with their favourite beers via a QR code. Your feedback is analysed via AI, and out pops your perfect beer. Sound nuts? We thought so to, hence the interview. Who said that AI was just for the techs? Deep Liquid is taking the fear out of AI, one beer at a time. Tune in."
