    F1 2024 is finally over, McLaren are the Champs… now it's time for Speedway?

    The most extended F1 season in history is finally over on the edge of Christmas, and McLaren has taken its first F1 World Constructors' Championship since 1998 after a stunning and dominant win by Lando Norris. Our Oscar—and yes, we say ours because he is our columnist—was taken out on the first corner by a clumsy Max Verstappen, but he set a marker in the ground as the only driver in the field willing to challenge the four-time champ on the track. There is plenty of huff and puff and bluster off the track, with the war of words impressing Bruce, but in the end, none of that matters.  Next year's Ferrari teammates Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc put it in stunning drives from the back of the grid, meaning the F1 fight next year will be salivating. We also discussed Jack Doohan's F1 debut and why the outing matters more than the result. We have plenty of news to discuss, and then we close out with some speedway.     Max Verstappen has been crowned the 2024 World Drivers' Champion after doing just enough in Las Vegas to kill off the threat from Lando Norris mathematically. But Las Vegas was more than just about the title; it was a cracking race with a Mercedes one-two and action up and down the field.     Will Brown won the Adelaide 500... and the Supercars Championship, here's how we saw it

    It was double trouble for the Supercars Championship Series, with Will Brown his first Supercars title while spearheading a Red Bull Ampol Racing one-two that left the squad dominating the Teams' Championship. And because it was the Adelaide 500, there was heaps happening. Turn 8 was tearing up cars again, and we think there is a simple fix or two to keep it challenging but to reduce the danger that left two drivers not well enough to race. Zach Bates locked down the Dunlop Super2 Series in a 'future' star studded field when some of the main game teams start looking properly. Todd Hazelwood did the same in Trans Am… and Adam Marjoram won the Super Utes. Harri Jones won the Carrera Cup, but he'd already done that before Adelaide. Then there was George Martin - aka Jorge Martin - getting the job done in MotoGP. But there was no PG this week, so we roped in Melinda Price, and we may keep her. Tell us what you think!
