    Episode 315: Kraken, 13 Souls, Affection, Crybaby Bridge, Diabolic, Tribe, Woken, Beast, No Trouble, Bloodsport 2

    In this episode Mike, Steve, Amanda and Rich tackle a bumper eight films! As usual, click the links to see a trailer for each film: We kick off with the Nordic creature feature, KRAKEN (Signature Entertainment), in which an aquatic behemoth is disturbed by new technology used at a salmon farm.... 13 SOULS (Seven Tales) is about a teen girl being reunited with her father and sister, and attacked by the ghosts of unnamed dead in the cemetery next door... AFFECTION (Blue Finch Film Releasing) is the first of three films this episode in which a woman suffers memory loss - this time waking in a farm w her husband & daughter...or is she?? CRYBABY BRIDGE (High Fliers) finds a pregnant teen revisiting her childhood and discovering her past and ghosts.... DIABOLIC (Lightbulb Film Distribution): a young woman suffering memory loss (!) turns to the Mormon sect she was once part of.... TRIBE (GrimmVision) - a Found Footage film in which a former professor heads to the mountains and gets entangled in strange occurrences... WOKEN (101 Films) - A woman with memory loss (!!!) finds herself secluded on an island with her husband and mother... or is she? BEAST (Vertigo Releasing) finds a former MMA champion forced to get back into the ring to help his family, reuniting with his former coach and facing his past. Our Short Shot is NO TROUBLE, in which a parolee working in a Chinese Restaurant has a crushing dilemma to solve.     SHORT SHOTS Episode 25: Action roundup!

BAGARRE LAND (FIGHT LAND) is a French musical short about two guys trying to get served at closing time!  LIYABUYA sees two mercenaries stuck with a flat tyre and a dangerous captive... LOVE & WAR is about 2 assassins who discover they are both their next target, while on a date! PACONTENTITE AIGUE (ACUTE GRUMPITIS) is a condition suffered by a man admitted to hospital but just can't relax! PROJECT HOURGLASS mixes espionage, time travel and fights, all in 7 minutes! RED finds two mercenary bodyguards trying to protect a client who might not be what he seems. THE SAVIOR is a throwback to 90s HK action, as a man fights his way through a restaurant looking for a missing girl... Our Long Shot is NINJA KILLFACE  in which an expert assassin starts to have second thoughts about his boss when he rescues the man's daughter... Our Short Throwback is TEN MINUTES FOR A POUND, in which two friends end up fighting in a laundrette. You will need to sign up to ShortsTV for this one, but you can get a 7 day free trial...     Episode 313: Self Driver, Hunting Party, SJOR: Rise of the North, Wargames: The Dead Code

    In this episode Mike and Steve tackle two new films - as usual, click the link to see a trailer for each! SELF DRIVER (GrimmVision) is the latest in the subgenre of thrillers set mostly within a taxi/rideshare vehicle. In this one we follow the driver as he gets lost in the rabbit hole that is a new money-making app. HUNTING PARTY (Miracle Media) finds a group of judges abducting criminals and hunting them - at least that's the official synopsis! Check out the film and see if you can work out what is happening! Our Short Shot is SJOR: Rise of the North. This is a wholly CGI animated film with some very photoreal moments. Click the link to see the whole short film.  Our DTV Throwback is WARGAMES: THE DEAD CODE. A couple of genius teens must outwit a military supercomputer which believes they are terrorists.     Episode 312: Content, Rise of the Conqueror, Runaway Revenge, Surrender, The Vord, Obey, Hell Comes to Frogtown

Next is RISE OF THE CONQUEROR (Signature Entertainment) - a glorious historical epic set 100 years after the demise of Genghis Khan. RUNAWAY REVENGE (4DigitalMedia) is a thriller set in Buenos Aires, where a young woman acting as a drug mule must evade corrupt cops and deal with what is sitting in her stomach. Josh Duhamel stars as an about to retire cop in SURRENDER (Signature Entertainment), until a stranger surrenders and confesses to three murders... THE VORD (Miracle Media) is about a woman at the centre or a metaphysical battler for the soul of her daughter. Out Short Shot is OBEY, about a woman mourning the loss of her talented dog - but should be careful what she wishes for! Click the link to see the whole short film! Our DTV Throwback is HELL COMES TO FROGTOWN, starring Roddy Piper as Sam Hell, one of the last virile men in a post-apocalypse wasteland. ONLY FANGS (FilmHub) sees a wannabe monster hunter hooking up with a gang of vampire chicks! SCARBORN (ViaPlay) is a Polish historical drama showing events leading to war with Russia. TOUCH ME (Lightbulb Film Distribution) finds a codependent couple of friends seduced by a shape shifting alien. Our Short shot is LAST STAND ON HOTH, a Star Wars fan film which utilises AI to convey the story visuals - click the link to see the whole short film! Our DTV Throwback is THE MARKSMAN, starring Wesley Snipes, sent to Chechnya to stop rebels from bringing a nuclear reactor back online. SCREAM THERAPY (Miracle Media) similarly is about a group of women on a retreat, but in the desert! and THE CURE (Signature Entertainment)is about an adopted teenage girl with a strange illness discovering some harsh truths about her billionaire parents!
