286 // The Positive Impact of Discomfort

286 // The Positive Impact of Discomfort

Hello and welcome to episode 286 of The Mindful Kind podcast.
In this episode, you'll learn about discomfort and how it can increase gratitude, happiness, and life satisfaction. Here are the key take-aways:
People who experience adversity are more likely to appreciate small pleasures (as long as their adversities are in the past) Too much of a good thing can become unpleasant Discomfort can lead to an increase in mindfulness and a decrease in stress The strategy I share for embracing more discomfort is to go outside your comfort zone and try new things, then allow yourself to process challenging emotions that might arise along the way.
Head over to www.rachaelkable.com/podcast/286 to grab a free chapter of The Mindful Kind book, called "Exploring Outside Your Comfort Zone."

Bringing the tears up

Being older now your words bring tears up I have been accused of being too emotional too hard not caring enough but in fact i have been crying inside where no one could see you have been able to slowly bring my tears up and to be gentle with myself and to comfort myself and not feel sad about constantly being in self isolation so as to not be emotionally hurt again . I am slowly beginning to share myself with people I don’t really now 😘🙏

Great practical advice

Great short episodes with practical advice and tips on a range of topics. I set myself a goal to listen to a podcast a day- any topic just one a day. I find this podcast easy to listen to and short enough to fit into my busy day but take away tips to apply to every day life for self improvement. Rachael also has a very friendly and calm voice to listen to. Thanks , keep up the great content
