Episode Twelve: Jenny Mapstone | Miss Mollee Designs | Creating a side business you LOVE and keeping it just that, a side business. Focusing on HAPPINESS and JOY within your business!

Episode Twelve: Jenny Mapstone - Miss Mollee Designs @missmolleedesigns

Today I am speaking with Jenny Mapstone who owns Miss Mollee Designs.

Jenny is passionate, creative, friendly and down to Earth. I knew immediately when I started talking with Jenny she was a country girl with a big heart.

Jenny is a Mum of two and is based with her family in Narrabri, NSW, Australia.

Miss Mollee Designs is Jenny's side gig and passion project and when she's not in the studio working on her colourful creations you'll, find her at her part-time job in Agriculture retailing.

Jenny creates cotton rope homewares and polymer clay jewellery and has been in business now for 12 years.

Miss Mollee Designs has evolved over the years with the mediums being used in Jenny's handmade creations. We discuss the importance of putting things on the back burner if you need to within your business and keeping things within reach if you want to pick your business back up again. It's okay to take a break.

Jenny has a beautiful story of connection to her upbringing using nostalgic mediums within her business and the connection to her family farm.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Jenny for jumping on board The WOW Pod and being a part of inspiring others to be passionate and purposeful within their business.

I really enjoyed catching up with Jenny and hearing so much more about what she does.

Thank you for joining in on this week's episode.

I'd LOVE if you jumped on over to @the_wow_pod on instagram or The WOW Pod on Facebook and let us know your thoughts on Jenny's episode.

    Have a wonderful week everyone,

This woman is not only a sparkly star, she's a wife, a Mum, hilarious, a mood lifter and brings an energy with her wherever she goes... she's also my all time best mate! I'm pretty darn lucky.

Welcome back, to another episode of The WOW Pod!

I can't believe we are at episode 10!

Thats 10 weeks of successfully posting a podcast a week - woohoo!

In this topic of conversation episode, you'll hear Sig talk about receiving opinions when you're in business - the good, the bad and the importance of working out which opinions matter and which ones don't.

We've been taught as children, that opinions don't matter and we shouldn't take it on board.

But, in adulthood and within business - I believe opinions have the ability for self growth and are valuable in making your business better!

What I mean by that is this.

Some opinions matter - and some don’t.

It’s the working out of which ones matter and which ones don’t that you need to remember.

It all comes down to these 4 words...

    Why do I care?

Find out in this episode how you can decipher opinions to use them for your own gain within business and in life.

Thank you for tuning in to another episode here on The WOW Pod, have an amazing week.

Episode Seven: Ellie Dunlevy Design - reflecting YOU and YOUR voice within your business through creating purposeful design solutions for regionally-based business.

Episode Seven: Ellie Dunlevy Design - reflecting YOU and YOUR voice within your business through creating purposeful design solutions for regionally-based business.

    Episode Seven

The WOW Pod welcomes Ellie Dunlevy from Ellie Dunlevy Design. (@elliedunlevydesign)

I was so excited to pick Ellie's brains on this episode, as she is SUPER creative and highly passionate about what she does.

Ellie Dunlevy Design is a branding agency and works within the social media marketing world for regionally-based business.

Ellie is a brand designer, social media manager and marketer.

Ellie shares insights into her business - how it all began - what drives her - why she is an advocate about your postcode not being a barrier to success - her passions and how she keeps structure within her day whilst running a business and being a Mum.

Ellie discusses some of the challenges she has faced when promoting the importance of making regionally-based business look cohesive and professional and that living rurally shouldn't mean we can't look as shiny and professional as our city cousins.

Through her business and in her work, Ellie has managed to educate others and market her business to have success within regional areas.

Creative business can be undervalued in regional areas due to not understanding the importance of where they can fit and what they can offer.

Creatives like Ellie are paving the way for more creative businesses to exist in regional areas and I'm so proud of this episode putting a focus on this topic.

A HUGE thank you to Ellie for jumping on The WOW Pod and sharing your thoughts and insights into business life and Ellie Dunlevy Design.

I really enjoyed speaking with Ellie; her honesty and sharing her knowledge within this episode made me smile.

I hope you enjoy this episode and if you did - share it amongst your friends, family and colleagues!

It helps this rural gal continue on pursuing her passion projects and find more listeners who may enjoy what The WOW Pod has to offer.

    Have a wonderful week,
