Jodi Cohen: How Sense of Smell Can Regulate Your Nervous System and Your Emotions

Jodi Cohen is a bestselling author, award-winning journalist, functional practitioner, and founder of Vibrant Blue Oils. Leveraging her background in nutritional therapy, aromatherapy, functional neurology, and herbalism, Jodi developed proprietary blends of organic and wild-crafted essential oils to support brain-based and systemic healing, especially for individuals struggling with anxiety, insomnia, inflammation, and autoimmunity. Her journey into essential oils began with her own health challenges involving adrenal fatigue, insomnia, and chronic stress. These experiences led her to explore how oils could bypass conventional metabolic bottlenecks and support the nervous system and brain more directly. Jodi holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and has held marketing leadership roles at organizations including Microsoft, Time Inc., and U.S. News & World Report. Earlier in her career, she served as a legislative aide on Capitol Hill. Since founding Vibrant Blue Oils in 2012, Jodi has helped more than 100,000 clients and worked with thousands of practitioners to implement essential oil protocols into clinical and self-care practice. She was recognized as one of the 2024 Enterprising Women of the Year. She is the author of Essential Oils to Boost the Brain and Heal the Body and Healing with Essential Oils, which synthesize decades of research and clinical experience into actionable resources for brain and body balance. Jodi is passionate about empowering individuals to reclaim their health and build resilience by integrating plant-based, nervous-system-focused tools into their lives. Her work sits at the intersection of mind-body healing, neuroscience, and integrative wellness. https://vibrantblueoils.com/ Disclaimer: The views and opinions expressed by the guest speaker on this episode are solely those of the guest.
