    TORQ MOTO - Brian Jorgensen - He knew I was there for REAL!

    Brian’s back!  For this week’s ‘Torq Moto Podcast Show’ it’s time to continue the Brian Jorgensen interview as the second and final part of the conversation drops. After listening to tales of Brian’s early career of how he started out in the sport and went on to be European and British 125cc champion, this second episode features on his life a factory MXGP racer. He talks to hosts ‘Doc Wobs’ and ‘Jeffro’ Perrett about the transition from 125cc racing, first to the 500cc class and then eventually on to the MXGP class that we know today where he became a factory Honda and Yamaha racer with likes of Mickael Pichon and Stefan Everts as teammates. He talks fondly about ‘the perfect’ day of winning a GP in the class and life as a factory racer and the differences and pressures it brings before explaining his reasons for eventually calling it a day and moving into rider coaching, a job he’s still doing now to great effect with his own coaching schools and also helping Yamaha Europe as a coach and ambassador for their bLU cRU program. You can listen or watch part two of the Brian Jorgensen interview on Torq Moto through Spotify, Apple or YouTube from 7pm this Thursday 26th where you can also catch up with all previous episodes of the show.

    TORQ MOTO - BRIAN JORGENSEN - Almost over before we started!

    Yogi bears all ‘Torq-ing Moto’!  It’s time for another 'Torq Moto Podcast Show’ and this week’s guest is one of Denmark’s finest motocross racers - Brian Jorgensen. ‘Yogi’ as he was affectionately known in the early part of his racing career, joins hosts ‘Jeffro’ Perrett and Doc Wobs in the studio over two episodes to discuss his career to date and the sport in general. It’s a good tale from beginning to end. Brian starts off explaining how his mum needed some convincing on letting him ride a motocross bike, let alone race one, and that wasn’t helped when she came home one day to find he’d sneaked out on his bike, crashed and put a clutch lever into his skull through his eye socket! Unfazed, Brian and his dad eventually won his mum around, even though Brian’s dad was in the dog house for a bit and going racing with his brother Jesper soon became their way of life. There’s some great stories from Brian has he explains how he worked his way up to EMX 125 standard and then on to be a European 125cc champion before coming to race in the British and World 125cc championship. Brian was a popular addition to the British championship and he looks back on his time in the U.K fondly after riding for Rob Hooper’s Suzuki team, a stint with Dave Thorpe on the CAT Finning Honda Team and finally with Steve Dixon on Yamaha, where he finally won the British 125cc title in 2001 before moving on further his career in the 500cc and 250cc World championships which the trio delve into in the following episode. You can watch or listen to the first episode of the Brian Jorgensen interview on the 'Torq Moto Podcast Show’ from 7pm this Thursday 12th June on YouTube, Spotify or Apple where you can also catch up with all previous episodes.

    TORQ MOTO - Steven Clarke Part 1 - I WAS World Champion!

    ‘Scuba Steve’ dives in to 'Torq Moto'It’s time again for another episode of the 'Torq Moto Podcast Show’ with hosts Doc Wobs and ‘Jeffro’ Perrett as they once again sit down with a guest to talk about their career and opinions. This time around they're joined by former junior World 85cc, Loretta Lynn’s and European 250cc motocross champion, Steven ‘Scuba’ Clarke. In this first of two episodes ‘Clarkey’ talks through his journey to becoming a world champion, how it all started and the huge influence his dad Richard has had on his progression. Steve talks fondly of his days racing youth motocross, even though by his own admission he wasn’t any good, but that all changed after his first trip to the Millsaps Training Facility (MTF) in Georgia, USA. It was a ‘penny drop’ moment for Steve and he came away from there knowing he wanted to be a professional racer and what he had to do to get there. Here he talks candidly about the sacrifices made by himself and his family to not only win the 2005 Junior World 85cc title but also the 2007 Loretta Lynn’s Schoolboy 2 14-16 title beating the likes of Jose Butron, Valentin Teillet and Dean Wilson along the way to both championships and what life was like on the road and living in America as a teenager. You can listen to episode one of the ‘Steven Clarke interview' on the Torq Moto Podcast show on either Spotify or Apple or watch the interview on the ‘Torq Moto’ YouTube channel from 7pm this coming Thursday 15th May, where you can also find all previous episodes.

He describes what it was like being MXGP teammates with the likes of Stefan Everts, Fred Bolley, Ryan Hughes and Mark Eastwood and the pressures of being a young factory racer for arguably the most renowned and prestigious team in World Championship motocross.     TORQ MOTO - Tom Fuller part 2 - Fashion of MX

    Torq Moto returns! Tom Fuller joins DocWob and ‘Jeffro’ Perrett for the first episode of 2025 for more ‘pub bar style’ chat as the three discuss Tom’s love for motocross and how it’s steered him on a path to becoming one of the best and most respected helmet sprayers in the business.In this first episode, the trio discuss Tom’s early years, from how he got into the sport following in his dad’s footsteps to watching three-time World 500cc champion Dave Thorpe regularly getting training motos in just a stone’s throw away from his home near the Old Dean in Camberley, and how it inspired him and drew him further into the sport. Tom talks with great affection about getting his first motorcycle along with his brother Toby and getting going in the sport and how that led him on to racing the British four-stroke championship in the late 90s and 00s and setting up his own team with his good friend Stacey Harman.More reminiscing continues when the subject turns to Moto Magazine, where all three of them played their part in shaking up the establishment and bringing the magazine to life. Tom discusses his photographic heroes, and of course, there are some tales from back in the day, notably the parties that quickly became legendary at the Dirt Bike Show at Stoneleigh.
