Chronic Illness, Disability and the Impact of Covid on Bi+ Community, with Kate Pern
Today, Ruby is joined by the amazing and wonderful Kate Pern, to talk about chronic illness and disability. You may recognise Kate from an earlier podcast advocating safe partying and harm reduction, and we are very thankfull for their time today!
If you hadn’t been paying attention, Covid is still out there and sticking around! After the relativily long time and multiple lockdowns, many have returned to living as if Covid isn’t a problem anymore, but those who are disabled, immunocompromised, sick or otherwise have handicaped in the world can tell you this is still a MASSIVE issue. Bi+ individuals are suferering from the effects of long Covid at higher rates than straight, Lesbian or Gay individuals, and the continued precense of Covid represents a huge poblem for our communities.
Today, Ruby and Kate are talking about their own experiences of disability and chronic illness, as well as other issues that impact our ability to exist in the world. Tune in to find out 3

This is a great podcast
This is a very helpful podcast for me. I love listening to it on the way to school, in the car and walking my dogs. It helps me figure out difficulties with my self and it makes me feel more comfortable and be able to come out to my school friend that’s aren’t that close to me. GO PRIDE!!
