In a coroner’s report, the word “undetermined” is used to describe the cause or manner of death when there’s insufficient evidence to lend a more specific classification. In 2019, Jessica Easterly Durning went missing from her New Orleans home; her body was found days later, just two and a half blocks away. Her death was classified as undetermined, but due to evidence of foul play, her friends and family believe someone played a role in her suspicious disappearance. Investigative journalist Jessica Noll and former Detective Todd McComas dig deep into this unsolved case and search for answers to Jessica’s untimely death. From the team that brought you ‘To Live and Die in LA’ and ‘Culpable’, this is ‘Undetermined’.

Isn’t it obvious?
I’m starting to see a pattern with law enforcement, both past and present….clearly they stuffed it up. Were there any searches within the home or car for Gods sake? Or in-depth interviews with Justin? Who’s protecting him…or are they just protecting themselves and they’re total disregard of carrying out a an in-depth investigation?
The initial police who did the welfare check saw through Justins demeanor…..they are trained to do it.
The department will not reopen the case, just like they wont for the Christian Andreacchio case, because it will shine a light on their very poor and pathetic investigation. So by protecting themselves, they let killers get away with it. Very poor outcomes in both cases…I feel for the families and wonder how they manage to carry on with the heavy cloud of police incompetence on their shoulders and hearts. Hopefully the podcast will prompt some reaction within law enforcement or anyone who has the power to reopen the case …… from Australia…
Kill the music
I listen to podcasts to hear the story. If I wanted music I would put music on. This podcast is so overdone with dramatic soundtracks that it is hard to hear the narration. Trying to hear body cam footage where the sound quality is average at best to having it overlaid with ultra dramatic music makes understanding what is being said very difficult. Trying episode 2, seems just as bad. Don’t think I will make it till the end which is a shame as the story is very interesting. 🤫👂

Interesting story and really feel for Jessica and her loved ones.
Have to have paid subscription for the last episode which is very frustrating.
