Unpacking the ATAR, Scaling and Getting into University The Student Space

    • Education

Today I chatted with Kim from Roadmap Education who is a Secondary teacher and a qualified careers practitioner. Having worked in schools teaching VCE maths and as part of careers teams for over 12 years, she knows a lot about VCE, ATARs, VTAC and the whole process transitioning to life after high school. Kim is passionate about helping VCE students who have no clue what they want to do when they finish school to feeling confident at school and excited about the future.

This episode covers:

✅ what is an ATAR, how is it calculated

✅ study scores (scaling up or scaling down)

✅ misconceptions about the ATAR ("do I have to do hard subjects to get a high ATAR?")

✅ "What if I don't get into my dream course?

+ lots more
