    On this, it must be said, heavier than usual episode, our hosts Ashleigh and Flint go over:  Tough news from the US Supreme Court and their recent regressive ruling on Title IX, allowing state's sports bans for trans players (mostly trans women). The UK's new draft conversion therapy ban and the loopholes large enough to drive a bus through. More changes within the PATHWAYS puberty blocker trial. Scottish Prisons now being told to house trans women on the male estate and vice versa, thanks to a case brought by For Women Scotland. For our Meat this fortnight, we look at the story of one family deeply affected by the puberty blocker ban and anonymously interview one parent about the experience of having a trans child in this landscape and the help that was offered to them by WellBN.     On this slightly-lighter-than-usual episode, our hosts Flint and Ashleigh talk through: A new direct care clinic for the trans community will open in New York City, but is it all that was promised by mayor Zohran Mamdani? A quick run through of some developments around the EHRC, including some serious questioning by the Women & Equalities Committee. The sterling work done by the local government committee within UNISON.     On this week's episode, hosts Flint and Ashleigh go over Some of the reactions to the EHRC's new code of practise NOTE: There will be a special episode all about the EHRC and their "guidance" coming later, so this week's episode does not do an intense deep dive. New health secretary James Murray has changed his mind on trans women being women. Completely coincidentally, we've changed our minds on James Murray.     EP155 - Frankenstein's Evidence: The Modern Phrenology

    On this extra-strength episode, our hosts, Flint, Alyx and Ashleigh try something a little different. We have many (but not all) of our usual format points but our entire episode this week is dedicated to a single premise: sports science is complicated and bans on trans participation in sport make no sense.  NOTE: You may not care for sport, you may not be interested in it. That is fine and valid, but we would implore you to nevertheless give this episode a try and particularly our interview with Sheree Bekker & Stephen Mumford, two scientists who have some fascinating insights about the social construction of sport and how patriarchy still rules the roost in places like the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and other sports organisations. We take a look at:  The IOC is to introduce SRY gene sex testing for all entrants competing in the female categories for all events. Parkrun finds itself caught in the Eye of Sauron. A brief look at who else but the EHRC.  A certain US pick-me on the cusp of realising that her collaboration will not save her.     EP153 - Unkind Rewind

    This week, the delightful duo of Ashleigh and Flint take you through: Ashleigh the Solarpunk fills you in on thrilling tales of her adventures and a content warning is given, because it's just that sort of "adventure."  A triple-decked Pond Hoppin' segment that ends with some uncharacteristically good news. I know! We were surprised too.  The NHS has published a new service specification for Children and Young People's (CYP) gender services. We assess the damage. A foray to the high street as Sex Matters (attempt to) take on M&S! Some quick notes about our staffing levels after PinkNews made all their reporters redundant. Also, we talk about how PinkNews made all their reporters redundant.  It's been a year since the Supreme Court judgement. Yes, that one. We look back and reflect on what's changed and what it feels like has changed, even though it really hasn't. Our usual smattering of Trans Joy as a palate-cleanser.
