EP 20: “There’s never a ‘right time’ to do anything so just start. If it doesn’t go to plan it’s all good…usually it’s pretty special.” Nedd Brockmann

EP 20: “There’s never a ‘right time’ to do anything so just start. If it doesn’t go to plan it’s all good…usually it’s pretty special.” Nedd Brockmann

He inspired the nation when he decided to run across the country and today, Nedd Brockmann inspired hosts Marlee Silva and Nicho Hynes as he joined them on the couch for this very special episode of When We Grow Up.

There’s so much wisdom that comes out every time Nedd opens his mouth, he exemplifies what we want to achieve and share through WWGU and we couldn’t be more grateful for Nedd’s time!

We know you’ll love this chat as much as we did.

And pre-order Nedd’s book ‘Showing Up’ which will be available in October

    Thanks so much for listening!

EP 18: “Part of me wanted to do really good for the both of them - and the criticism too” former NRL star, Rocket Rod Silva

This is When We Grow Up, the podcast where we ask where we’ve been to know where we’re going.

We’re only a couple of weeks out from Father’s Day and hosts Nicho Hynes and Marlee Silva thought there wouldn’t be a more fitting time to sit down with Rocket Rod Silva - Marlee’s Dad.

Rocket played 14 years in the NRL for the Roosters and Bulldogs. In this chat he shares about the journey to get there from housing commission in Western Sydney, overcoming racism and the roller coaster of being a professional athlete, particularly after losing his sister and father in a 12 week period at the height of his career.

EP 16: "Alegra's Legacy" The Story of the Little Legs Foundation with Sue-Ellan Vasiliou

EP 16: "Alegra's Legacy" The Story of the Little Legs Foundation with Sue-Ellan Vasiliou

This is When We Grow Up, the podcast where we ask where we’ve been, to know where we’re going.

Today hosts Marlee Silva and Nicho Hynes have an emotional, inspiring and vital conversation with Sue-Ellan Vasiliou. This proud mum of 3 is a picture of strength. She, alongside her husband, set up Little Legs Foundation, a charity dedicated to funding much needed research into childhood brain cancer, after the loss of their beautiful daughter Alegra at just 6 years old.

This one will definitely be a tough listen, it was tough for us to have the conversation, but Alegra's story deserves to be heard and there's so much hope in the research Little Legs has been able to fund so far. Check out the work Little Legs is doing via their Instagram or their website: https://www.llf.org.au/ @littlelegsfoundation

Huge thank you to Sue-Ellan for sharing with us in her first ever podcast interview.

Fantastic

Hilarious, entertaining, interesting, heart warming, inspirational, real life content. Absolutely love how Marlee & Nicho bounce off each other (especially the bantering). True role models who continue growing even more inspirational. Awesome work Marlee & Nicho.

Love it!

I’m always excited for Monday’s when the new ep’s drop! I have loved the guests and learning about some legendary humans and the good they put out in to the world. This podcast is super real and I love the banter between Marlee and Nicho as well as their own perspectives. Hope this podcast keeps growing and going! 🧡

Love the idea and guests so far

The idea behind this podcast is awesome and I’m sure you both have so many more insightful things to say - I don’t want to give a bad review but I find it hard to listen to people be so mean to Marlee. A bit of banter yeah okay, but I feel like it goes a bit too far and it’s really hard to listen to. Ease up a bit. It comes across as pretty immature and really distracts from the depth of the podcast.
