    Another Dead End?

    Another Dead End?

At the time of our previous episode, two months ago, police were undertaking an extensive, and very public, search of a number of areas in and near William’s foster grandmother's house in Kendall, NSW. The search concluded after four weeks without any substantial findings, once again leaving two families still desperate for answers.

    So what happens now?

With Lia once again is criminologist Dr Xanthe Mallet to talk about the current state of the investigation, and what the next steps might be.

Also joining in the discussion is media and defamation law specialist Professor David Rolph from the University of Sydney Law School.

Good Podcast

Very interesting listening to this podcast again, now that the foster partner have become the main suspects, and they are searching/digging at the grandmothers house.

PR campaign

This feels like a PR campaign for the foster parents, just like the missing posters put out by the official campaign that say ABDUCTED in big bold lettering. But was he abducted? There doesn’t to seem to be any evidence to support the abduction theory, something that is glossed over in this podcast, along with the glaring inconsistencies in the foster mothers timeline. No one ever corroborated the strange cars the FM claims to have seen, in fact neighbours adamantly testified at the inquest that the cars were not there. This is a rural, out of the way way property, what are the chances there was a big bad boogeyman waiting to grab this little boy just as he ran around the corner? Who was the last person to see this little boy? Start there. A criminologist should know that. This podcast questions nothing. Disappointed.

The last episode.

It seems clear to me that the attending officers failed to section off the crime scene, that no possibilities should be ruled out when attending suspected wanderings or abductions, that the house and cats should have been searched as a matter of procedure to rule out family, that Mr Jubelin was too close to the foster family, that he was trying to fit people in the frame that aligned with the beliefs or theories of the foster parents, that there is significant evidence that should have ruled out many persons of interest including Mr Savage (seems obvious that he took longer than 45 minutes to hike up and around the back way to his house. Likely back at 12:45 and then minded his own business as some old people do. My dad would be just like tgat)

Mr Jubelin we will hear became enmeshed and his protection of the foster parents is why they have dogged the incoming lead detective and investigations, that FACS has yet again taken children from one perceived harm without constant review for opportunities to reconcile families, that foster parents are not scrutinised enough and our systems are flawed and failing children
