Writing Boot Camp

This course is designed to provide a two-week essay-writing refresher for incoming college students preparing to take their college’s writing placement test. However, this course provides a great general introduction to college writing, and exam writing, that any student can benefit from. The course is divided into instruction days and assignment days. Plan on spending about one hour per instruction day, and two to four hours per assignment day, working on this course. Topics covered include the elements of a paragraph, parts of an essay, responding to prompts, and preparing for test day.
