Racism bad.

Andrew is sleepy, Tawny is a delight. They listen to racism questions/comments voicemails with a guest(s). Sometimes helpful, always entertaining. F*** racists.

Andrew is bizarrely anti-Asian. Unsubscribed.

Andrew is biting, funny, and acerbic towards all racists, but he keeps a special level of loathing reserved for Asians. That sparkle of wit disappears, and he shows no generosity nor humour towards Asians at all. He has all the time in the world for black and white issues, but he absolutely will not suffer (and he has openly admitted this) Asian issues.

It was kind of sad at first. Now, in the context of #stopasianhate, it’s time to unsubscribe.

Extremely triggered white Australian

I have been bingeing this show and recommending it to everyone (yes, everyone is sick of receiving podcast recs from a mid 30s white woman). Sorry for the buzzwords but it is seriously hilarious (weird that, what with all the comedians involved), informative and thought-provoking, and truly heartbreaking to hear the amount of casual and malicious racism inflicted toward uh the majority of the world’s population. It’s been a bit of a jolt to hear the hosts and guests agree wholeheartedly about how racist Australia is, because I live in my nice lil hipster bubble where I think I am not explicitly or deliberately racist and therefore I have caused no harm and also represent the majority of Australians. But!! That is also great, because it is making me take a long look at myself and the people I surround myself with, the immense privilege I take for granted and haven’t used to improve things for others, and figure out ways to actually harness that for good rather than passively enabling evil. It’s also great to hear people talk about their missteps and mistakes, because we have all been there and it’s important to acknowledge and change that, rather than denying it or doubling down. Sorry for the essay that defs could’ve just been an email, but eh now I have written it here so I’m just gonna hit send 8-) 8-) 8-)
