Chapter Recap (⚠️CONTAINS SPOILERS⚠️) -With his dying breath, Lucius cast a curse upon Hermione that inflicts a deathly illness when she is in close proximity to Draco -While grieving the death of her husband, Narcissa realizes what she's been cursed with and takes action to separate them -Draco crashes out when he realizes how severe the curse is and in his final act to protect Hermione, he takes the blame of Lucius's murder in front of the aurors while Narcissa keeps hermione hidden. -Draco is arrested and Hermione is retrieved by Theo in secret. -While being transported from jail to Azkaban, Draco murders Aurors Howe and Johnson, and escapes!! Basically vowing to eliminate all threats to Hermione and bring retribution to all those who have wronged him. -After 5 years of his murder spree, Draco visits Hermione's apartment one last time and places his cufflink under her bed in hopes that he can visit her dreams in death. 😭 -He re-reads her journals, and writes the remainder of their story to let Hermione know that she was loved deeply in this life, and leaves the memory vials for evidence. -Draco reminisces their love and then visits the Hogshead for his final moments. -Hermione wakes up in The General's timeline to the realization that it wasn't just proximity that caused her illness. IT WAS HER LOVE!! So regardless if he stayed away or not... it was her awareness and love for Draco that is CURRENTLY slowly killing her. - But don't worry.... The General has a plan.
