This used to be my favourite podcast, listened to pretty much every episode for the last 4,5 years. It offered nuanced analysis of politics, economics and tech.
The hosts had diverse viewpoints, and disagreed often, but always in good faith.
They were right-leaning, but at least to me, their takes were balanced and more often than not their analyses were correct.
Unfortunately, not much of that remains. The quality of topics and analysis has dropped steeply. While there used to be 4 viewpoints, now there’s just Jason’s and Friedbergs, vs. whatever Trump said yesterday. Chamath and Sacks arguments are so empty and biased, it is impossible to listen to.
The episode on Greenland, as a European, was the straw that broke the camels back. Not even acknowledging the right of Greelanders at self-determination, is an absolute joke. The risk of going to war with 80-year allies, wasn’t even mentioned. Maybe Americans truly don’t care about anything but themselves, but I really expected more of these guys.
So I wish them the best, but it isn’t worth my time to listen to them anymore, and I don’t advise you to do the same.
