122 DWSC LIVE: With Amy Gledhill

Just before Christmas 2020, Taylor, Hannah & Catie got all dressed-up and had somewhere to go! Yes, the team headed to the (beautiful) Clapham Grand theatre in London to do one of their amazing sell-out live shows ... unfortunately at the last minute it was apparent that this would not be able to take place - but the show MUST go on and so it did in the form of a glorious live stream!
Yes, The Drunk Women were delighted to still be able to go ahead with the show and that so many people turned-up in their comfy clothes, glass in hand to watch the proceedings from their sofas.
If you missed-out, then never fear the video is now available on their Patreon - patreon.com/drunkwomensolvingcrime.

As the team were 'back in the room', this also meant that we were treated to a live guest in the form of comedian, Amy Gledhill.
Amy leads us in to the episode with a crime which will have us all suspiciously checking feet from now on - which will probably be easier to do in the summer months.
The group then ponder on a 600 year old tale which sees ol' King James I rear his angry head once more. After that, we hear from a listener whose superior music taste marks her out for mixtape theft...it's a heady mix of pre-Christmas cheer and alcohol... ENJOY.

121 Laura Hayden & The Smugglers

121 Laura Hayden & The Smugglers

The Drunk Women are BACK for a brand new year and if you're attempting dry January (this is released January 2021, so unlikely too many of you are), then live your drinking life vicariously through Hannah, Taylor, Catie and this week's guest Laura Hayden, who happens to host a drinking based podcast of her own called 'Whisky Women', which means she's more than qualified to join-in with the wine fuelled mayhem!
Laura has a crime at the ready to kick things off where we learn that dogs can be just as objectified for their looks as humans are - and will never let you look at Brad Pitt in the same way again!
The gang then charge their glasses to get to the nub of an historical crime which is interspersed with some excellent A-Lister gossip courtesy of our guest.
We then hear from a listener who wrote in with a crime which is either the result of a genuine mistake, or the world's most audacious two year old....

    Christmas Message 2020

    Christmas Message 2020

Christmas is going to be a little different for us all this year, but there's one thing we can all rely on - some festive cheer from our favourite true-crime tipplers!
Taylor, Hannah and Catie took some time before their live stream show at The Clapham Grand in mid December 2020 to record this Christmas message - which let's face is guaranteed a few more laughs than The Queen's speech will have - no disrespect to Her Majesty, who would be a very welcome guest on the show....
But whilst we wait for QE2's reply, you can hear what happened with live stream guests Amy Gledhill and Michelle De Swarte when those episodes are released in January 2021 - and you'll also be able to SEE them as both shows will be available on patreon/drunkwomensolvingcrime ahead of the episodes releases.

Thank you so much for listening and supporting the show this year, you've made it more bearable for us, we love hearing from you so please keep getting in touch on

120 In The Dog House, with Sara Barron.

120 In The Dog House, with Sara Barron.

When it comes to drunken, true-crime solving, you can't keep a good woman down - something we already knew in regards to hosts, Catie, Hannah and Taylor, but we also now know to be true of comedian Sarah Barron, who agreed to join-in with the semi-sloshed sleuthing for today's episode.
Sara started-off with a warning for any new parents, that the sheer exhaustion of a new baby can invite crime into your life (that and having a word doc named 'passwords' on the desktop of your laptop).
The crew then bit-down into a case in which the perpetrator's life path had also seemingly pushed them into a slipstream of criminal activity, which was so out of character, it's difficult not to have some degree of empathy - especially if you're a a fan of dogs!
The ladies then give some closure to a listener who cannot be sure if they've been the victim of a crime ...spoiler alert, they probably were.

Don't forget to send your crimes that need solving to The Drunk Women ...they certainly won't make it worse: drunkwomensolvingcrime@gmail.com

119 Natasha Vasandani & The Nonagenarian Serial Killer

119 Natasha Vasandani & The Nonagenarian Serial Killer

In this episode of Drunk Women Solving Crime, the wine flowed freely as the team welcomed writer, actor and producer Natasha Vasandani to the force and let their little grey cells run all-over a case which just goes to prove that not every granny likes to knit for a hobby!
Natasha kicks the whole thing off as she seeks closure for a wrongdoing at primary school (which depressingly wasn't all that long ago) and also highlights that some words will have a VERY different meaning on either side of the pond, potentially leading to hilarious consequences.
We also hear that Hannah (AKA detective Buttstuff) finds a familial connection to The Titanic (sort of) and this week's listener crime makes a mug of us all.

The Drunk Women will be LIVE on 15th December 2020 at The Clapham Grand.
For the first time ever, the show will be live streamed, so you can watch anywhere in the world! For full details go to: claphamgrand.com

118 Kellie Shirley & The Riddle of Poison

And the girls are back in town! As we reach into December 2020, the Drunk Women once again welcome back the regular all female line-up and joining them to solve some crime and get tipsy is actor Kellie Shirley, who starts-off by giving us all a cautionary tale of trying too hard to impress a prospective love interest.
The team then pour a large one before poring over a case which although had the doctors of the time perplexed, is one our gals can see straight through - some pretty impressive (and drunk) detective work in play here.
We then round-things-off with a listener crime which will leave you feline good.

To help support Kellie's campaign with the Anthony Nolan Trust, visit anthonynolan.org.
