    In celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month, Teddi Dizon Bunag, a licensed clinical and family psychologist shares her experiences and challenges in bringing out the authentic self in her practice, in her service under DFA & the Office of the Vice President and in her new life’s chapter of motherhood.  FYI:  The OF-LIFE/ALSE (formerly known as LSE) is an empowerment program under the Ateneo School of Government targeting overseas Filipinos (OFs). The program aims to transform their mindsets particularly for the overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families and provide them with basic skills on Leadership, Social Innovation, Financial Literacy, and Social Entrepreneurship.  UGAT is an apostolate for grassroot families. It conducts its ministry through psychological interventions and family systematic approaches. Since it deals with the disadvantaged sector of society, it aggressively monitors human rights issues which may grossly disenfranchise them. The cause of advocacy is close to its heart. Ordinarily though, enrichment and curative services are offered to this sector which composes the largest segment of the national population.
