So I just finished listening to Reply All latest podcast, Long Distance, and will start with sharing a few thoughts about this specific episode.
It is GOLD, pure 24k GOLD. Alex is targetted by an Indian Scam company, trying to make a few hundred $ off gullible people, and he actually decides to go along for the ride to find out what these guys are about. What follows is the greatest mix of curiosity, bold detective work, outstanding people skills and, I guess, a little bit of luck. This story is SO fantastic and literally made me jump on my chair from excitement. Every time I thought "this is it, they can't possibly take this any further than this point" they somehow did, and then went even further. I cannot wait for the next episode. You guys have outdone yourselves.
About Reply All as a podcast in general, I have to say it is an extremely funny, thoughtful, sometimes geeky, fast-paced podcast that deals with all kinds of subjects loosely connected to the internet in some way. It is always interesting, Alex and PJ are just great as a duo and perfectly complement each other. I have actual fun listening to them interact. They're like the witty older brothers you never had. Special props to the yes-yes-no section, which seemingly randomly appears every few episodes, and where they try to explain to their boss, Alex Blumberg, with hilarious focus on detail, tweets that reference internet/meme/popular culture, and profoundly puzzle him. It's a wonderful feeling to arrive at a "yes", as a listener too. This is the first review of a podcast I have ever written - I listen to quite a few - and apart from proving that I am a horrible human being that likes to consume content while being too lazy to reward the people behind it, let this be the prove that this podcast is.pure.gold. If you haven't given it a listen, do it now. Keep up the good work guys. Sincerely yours.
